The Magic of Thinking Small
Hey!
Many of you might disagree and I'm prepared for that.
Many 'guru's' might say "Mike, you're wrong." and I'm prepared for that.
But what I'm about to share with you has been one of my biggest secrets to my success.
This secret has been so powerful to me that before I captured it, I was a 'success casualty'. A big one.
Some of you know my story and some of you don't, but ever since I was 19 years old I dreamed of doing what I'm doing right now.
But for my first 7 years, I was TOTALLY lost.
Maybe 'lost' is even an understatement.
I had 6 jobs my first 6 years after I left college (University of Rhode Island)
About 4 years ago I was making $10 an hour at a job I hated and even my own parents weren't sure I'd ever make something of myself.
Heck, I'm not sure I was convinced if I'd ever 'get there'.
But I never gave up on my dream. Never.
What I'm about to share with you is very important.
This one thing I'm going to share with you has made me more money than I'd ever imagine at 30 years old and has helped me live my dreams.
You see, I used to think big.
Let me say that again, "I used to think big."
I used to try to create million dollar, even billion dollars ideas.
And what were my results of this 'thinking big'?
I was broke.
How broke?
A paycheck or two away from not being able to pay my rent. (that feeling is horrible)
Guru's say 'think big'. Here's what I say.
I say that doesn't work for most people.
I know it didn't work for me.
Yes, I had a dream, but the ideas I used to come up with to get that dream were HUGE. Enormous. So big I didn't even know where to start.
There's MAGIC IN THINKING SMALL.
"What did Mike say?:
There's MAGIC IN THINKING SMALL.
Yes, I'm saying to THINK SMALLER.
If you're making $2,000 a month, make $3,000-$4,000 your goal, not $20,000.
Here's how I revolutionized my income.
Follow me closely.
When I was making $3k a month, my goal was $5k.
When I was making $10ka month, my goal was $12k.
When I was making $20k, my goal was $25k a month.
When I was making $50k a month, my goal was $65k.
And on and on and on.
The ONLY WAY TO SUCCEED is staying DISCIPLINED to taking the small steps. (read this again)
That's it.
I know too many people that have there 'head in the clouds'.
All the potential in the world, but where are there results?
(this was me for years)
They think TO BIG.
START thinking smaller.
Start focusing on JUST THE NEXT STEP.
Most people in this industry have very little or even ZERO personal growth.
That was me for 7 years.
I had read over 3,100 books about success and I made ZERO dollars.
People have no personal growth because they NEVER REALLY START.
They just talk about starting.
Get off your ---!
Throw away your excuses.
START THINKING SMALLER.
Ask yourself.
What is the next step you can take?
What would be a realistic goal for me to shoot for next month?
People are also looking for the 'hail mary'.
You're not going to 'get luckiy'.
Cut it out.
PAY THE PRICE.
Yes, it's not easy.
Yes, it's tough.
But, GOODNESS GRACIOUS. It's WORTH IT!!!
How much money has 'thinking big' made you?
I challenge you to 'think smaller' for 30 days and watch the PROGRESS you make.
Myself and my company have coached thousands of people to HUGE success because we understand that 'inch by inch EVERYTHING is a cinch.'
I BELIEVE in having a DREAM and then 'thinking small'.
Get your head out of the clouds and into reality.
What is the next step you can take in your business?
What is the next step you can take to improve yourself?
That's it. Focus on that. TAKE ACTION on that.
Step up.
Seriously.
Make your move.
There's MAGIC in thinking small, I don't care what any 'guru' tells you.
I've used this ONE secret to live my dreams at 30 years old.
Nobody gets married on the 1st date.
Nobody goes to college after the 1st grade.
Success is about steps.
I know how GREAT you are.
It's time for the world to see it.
Never give up on your GREATNESS.
NEVER.

Raising Capital for Your Business ? How Long Does it Take?
Most companies vastly underestimate the time commitment necessary to successfully complete a financing. In actuality, a company seeking financing needs to budget between 500 to 1000 work-hours to the capital-raising process, spread out over a 6-9 month time period.
My Nemisis
Living in the twilight zone has its advantages. In the early days of starting my business, I found the limitations of living in a rural area to be restrictive. However, later I realized that those limitations were not an obstacle that could stop me; they were only a challenge that would strengthen me. Since my business would be smaller, I would have the advantage of fewer employees and less strife in the processes of doing business.
Territory Limitations Policies for Franchised Companies
All franchised companies must have Territory Limitations to maintain the peace within their systems. Often the unspoken ethics of territory limitations are blurred with mobile, home based or online franchise companies. Territory limitations in fixed site franchises are fairly cut and dry. There is your store, no other stores will be placed in the surrounding area delineated on this map within your franchise agreement. Generally things run pretty smoothly in this case. However as co-branding methods, partnerships and online sales increase as consumer demand for the brand increases we often see the franchised companies embattled in encroachment lawsuits in an already litigious industry.
Self-Esteem and the Entrepreneur
Isn't it funny how people think that being self-employed is so cool? They think that you get to take lots of vacation time and spend all of the profits. What they don't realize is that you put in outrageous amounts of blood, sweat, and tears to get there. They don't know that you have to take the blame for every single thing that goes wrong. They don't know how many times you fell flat on your face before making it work. They think that you simply come up with a cute little idea over dinner one night and within a couple of months you're flying high living the rich man's life. The reality of the situation is very different. Statistics consistently show that most successful entrepreneurs failed a handful of times before finally finding that winning formula. It's during the failure years that you earn all of those future vacations and big fat salaries. Delayed gratification takes on a whole new level, doesn't it?

History of Enterprise Car Rentals
So few really understand the drives and motivations of entrepreneurs. Many write about them, some lecture and teach about what they are, how they operate and what they have achieved; yet so few really understand them. So many fail to realize the dedication and sacrifice it takes to win at that level and the super stars are so rare that one just has to look in awe. One of the greatest stories of Entrepreneurial success is that of Jack Taylor who founded Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I therefore recommend this book about the History of Enterprise Rent-A-Car Book is;

An Entrepreneurs Biggest Cost
When launching a new product or company, an entrepreneur must consider their biggest cost - the opportunity cost. Opportunity cost is an economic term that is defined as the cost of passing up the next best alternative when making a decision. For instance, if an asset such as capital is used for one purpose, the opportunity cost is the value of the next best purpose for which the asset could have been used. In the entrepreneur's case, this asset typically includes the entrepreneur's time and money.
Have You Been Thinking About Owning Your Own Business? Or Becoming An Entrepreneur? Part 1
Almost every day, I talk with people who want to start their own home-based businesses. I receive an interesting reaction when I ask people, "What are you looking for in a home-based business?" The most common response I get is, "Umm, well . . . I don't know." Keep in mind that these people have requested information about starting a home-based business. They have taken time and effort to go online and fill out a form, or do some research. And yet, they don't know what they want.

A Startup Never Closes
When it comes to a startup, the luxuries shared with established companies are few and far between. Chief among them is the luxury to close at the end of the day. Big companies have the benefits of capital, customers and receivables. Startups, on the other hand, have jack squat. They need to work twice as hard to make half as much, and even then they're not working nearly enough.

The Desire For Money, Do You Have Business Sense?
For those of us who grew up with parents who worked for businesses rather than owned them, the world of business can be quite a mystery. Even more so if we've dared to try to start one of our own. There is the factor of what type of business to start - a product or service business. There are the issues of doing a good market analysis, licensing the business, understanding the codes of law governing businesses, and determining just what type of business structure to choose - especially if the business will have employees. For example, should we start a sole proprietorship or a corporate business? It's a lot to work on, and it's not an overnight process to the road of success. But, the most crucial challenge to whether a business succeeds or fails lies deep within the realm of emotional versus financial intelligence.
