Diversity hiring is profitable: a study, by Covenant Investment Management showed that the stock market performance of firms that were high performers in diversity and inclusion goals was 2.5 times higher than that of the firms that failed to invest in diversity goals.

 
Diversity is marketable: Consumer companies know that women purchase 70 to 80 percent of all products; Hispanics are the fastest growing consumer group in the United States. Technology and manufacturing companies are learning, as one company puts it, hiring from a women and diversity pool creates a sustainable competitive advantage to “operate across cultures, functions, language barriers and time zones to solve the technical and logistical challenges created by a worldwide customer base.”
